Once you are ready to integrate Centerpoint you will need to click this link: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/help-article/install-products/set-quickbooks-web-connector/L4Vp7VI44_US_en_US to download the QuickBooks Desktop Web Connector, you can then turn on the QuickBooks Desktop integration from within your company's settings in the "Integrations" tab.
You can send the following information from Centerpoint to QuickBooks Desktop;
- Companies
- Service Tickets
- Service Invoices
- Projects
- Project Invoices
You can receive the following information from QuickBooks Desktop to Centerpoint;
- Companies
- Invoice Payments
Click on the "Activate Integration" button to activate your QBD integration:
You will need to have your QuickBooks open.
Click on the "Integration Settings" to begin the integration setup:
Click the 3 dots in the top right corner and select "Download QWC File".
Once the file is downloaded, open the file and follow the steps, it will appear on the QBD side for you to select when Centerpoint is allowed to modify your QBD company file.
Once you click "Continue" another screen will open, click the box on the left, and you will then be asked to enter a password...
You will go back to Centerpoint and click on the 3 dots again and select "Show QWC Password".
You can then copy/paste the password provided by CP into the required field. Click "Yes" to save the password.
Then minimize the web connector screen.
* You can access the web connector at any time by going to
QuickBooks > "File" > "App Management" > "Update Web Services".
You will then want to go back to the integration settings in Centerpoint to add in the "Service Item Name", the "Service Sales Tax Item Name", the "Project Item Name", and the "Project Sales Tax Item Name" to match the items you want them tied to in QB. Click "Save".
The "Sales Tax Item Name" will appear in Quickbooks as shown in the photos below.
You can then click "Pair Customers".
Click "Pair", then link the matching company from CP.
***NOTES***
- You will need to keep up with the "Pair Customers" list to make sure each new customer gets paired before the first ticket or job is invoiced.
