**Before completing the inspection you need to make sure all property sections are outlined. If needed, refer to the article on Outlining property sections.
You can access the inspection by going to the property and scrolling down to the blue "Inspections Report" tab and clicking the "Edit" button.
You will then be taken to a screen showing you all sections of this property.
Click the blue "Inspect Section 1" button to start filling out the inspection report.
The system will guide you through the inspection workflow. You will be able to choose photos from your library (Take Photo) or choose from photos previously uploaded to the property (grid button).
Overview Photos - These are meant to be 4 corner shots of the roof (facing inward) to bring a general overview of the roof to your client.
Observation Photos/Video - These are meant to be additional photos with brief comments that demonstrate the general condition of the roof (which could range from third-party issues, roof details, etc). You can also take/upload a short video to this section.
Composition - This section is meant for core cuts, surface photos, or pull tests. You can identify the layers of the roof in this section.
Issues on Section - This is where you will put all repairs that need to be made. You will:
- Upload a picture
- Search/select the issue from the repair library
- Enter in the quantity
- Plot the location of the issue
- Check the box yes or no to indicate if water can penetrate the roof (this determines if the repair is emergency or proactive)
- Click save and continue this process until all issues on this section are documented.
Grading - In this section, you will grade each of the different roof components (Membrane, Flashings, & Sheet Metal) which will then populate an overall grade and an estimated year for replacement.
Recommendations - This section is meant for you to give your suggestion on what your client should do with their roof. You can also enter a BUDGETARY figure for replacement (this is not a firm number, just to give your client an idea of the approximate cost for replacement).
When you are finished with section 1 you can go back to the building sections page by clicking the button at the top of the screen.
You will then either repeat this process for the other sections if there are any, or if you are done with this inspection you will click the orange "Submit Inspection" button.
Once you have submitted the inspection, whoever is set up for property approval will receive a notification letting them know they have a new inspection to review before it goes to the customer.
